Bahrain Mirror: The Interior Ministry of Bahrain announced on Monday (April 28, 2015) that it has arrested 28 people over charges of involvement in terrorist activities. The government often uses this term to describe dissents, who have been calling for the downfall of the Al Khalifa rule and its grip on power.

In its statement, the ministry declared that a number of those who were taken into custody have been sentences to various jail terms including life imprisonment.

Bahraini security forces continue to apprehend opposition activists, as the number of political prisoners has reached 4,000, including at least 400 children, according to the Bahrain Centre for Human Rights.
