Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's prominent clerics have issued a joint statement condemning the bomb attack that took place in Sitra on Tuesday (July 28, 2015), claiming the lives of three policemen and injuring six others. The senior clerics described the bombing as a criminal act in accordance to the law and Islamic Sharia.

"It is a heinous and unacceptable act. A patriotic and loyal citizen could never commit or support such actions that would harm the security of his country and safety of its people," the statement further read.

The clerics (Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim, Sayed Jawad Al-Wida'e and Sayed Abdullah Al-Ghuraifi) stressed in their statement issued on Wednesday (July 29, 2015) that the Sitra explosion is "a crime that only leads to violence and threatens the country's security."

"It is necessary to join efforts to confront sedition, violence and terrorism and put an end to all speeches that incite hatred and lead the country and nation to danger," the statement further stressed.

The clerics concluded their statement by assuring that "they have stood against sedition and all acts of terrorism and will always do."
