Daily Life in Bahrain brought to a Halt after Revolutionary Youth Block Roads

2015-09-15 - 2:04 am

Bahrain Mirror (Exclusive): Bahrain's daily life was interrupted on Sunday (September 13, 2015), reminding everyone that the crisis in the country has not come to an end yet and that there are people who refuse the bad reality that all Bahrainis are suffering from.

Highways in number of Bahraini governorates witnessed heavy traffic Sunday morning.

The Ministry of Interior tweeted on its official Twitter account that Isa bin Salman Street, which is an international street linking Bahrain to Saudi Arabia, was overcrowded and asked drivers to take an alternative route to avoid traffic.

All the streets were totally blocked, especially in the Capital and Northern governorates. Meanwhile, the begining of the official workday in governmental ministries was delayed since a large number of employees could not arrive to their jobs on time, and so was the case with private sector firms, public and private schools and universities.

As for the blocking of streets, the February 14 Coalition posted on its Facebook page: "Our message to the enemy Al Khalifa is: Wake up, you foolish people! The land is ours and we are the ones who decide the time and place. Our will can't be oppressed and our determination never surrenders. This is a great success for the revolutionary movement that affected the traffic in Bahrain's streets for more than five continuous hours."

For its part, the Ministry of Interior did not officially comment on what took place. However, citizens circulated some photos on social media showing "cars of the crime scene" deployed in some streets and crossroads. Tweeters said that there were hoax bombs at some crossroads. The Interior Ministry; however, has not announced this yet.
