Bahrain Mirror: Family of detainee Younes Hussein Hader, who suffers from epilepsy, said that they are "concerned about Younes's health after he was prevented from receiving his medications for three weeks," calling on the prison's administration to allow him to receive his medications.

The family said that "Younes has been suffering from cramps since three years ago due to the epilepsy episodes he suffers from.

His case is getting worse by the day since he is prevented from taking his medications regularly. Thus, we call on the competent parties to quickly allow him to receive his medications regularly so that his condition would improve again."

Younes is serving his time in the Dry Dock Prison. "We wish our son receives better treatment, especially that he is a football player in the youth team and he, along with his friends, contributed to serving this country," his family added.

"We are very worried about Younes as his health will rapidly deteriorate if he does not receive his medications. After contacting the Public Prosecution, we found out that Younes will not be able to receive his medications before a month. He is also prevented from buying from the "Canteen" in prison. We wish that the competent parties take his health condition into consideration and allow him to buy items as other prisoners," they further stated.
