Bahrain Mirror: A number of Bahraini travel agency owners said that "the Iraqi embassy in Bahrain stopped since two days ago issuing individual visas and raised the number of people required to be granted collective visas from 3 to 5."

They highlighted that this decision accompanies the potential return to security clearance processes that were stopped about 5 years ago after the security situation improved in Iraq. The visa used to cost 25$ (about 9.5 BD), adding that this will raise the cost of the individual visa to 40 BD and that each person will have to pay 33 BD for the collective one.

According to the Al-Wasat newspaper, the owners said that who wants to individually travel to Iraq from now on will need a visa from the Iraqi airports. They added that those who travel by land will be more affected by the decision of stopping the issuing of individual visas to Iraq, as Kuwait does not allow anyone to pass from its "Abdali Border" to Iraq "Safwan Border" without a visa.
