GCC Justice Ministers Adopt Draft Agreement for Extradition of Suspects & Convicts

Bahrain Mirror: The Ministers of Justice Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states approved a "draft agreement for the extradition of suspects and convicts among the GCC countries," to be submitted to the supreme council in its next session to have itv adopted.

For his part, the Kuwaiti Minister of Justice & Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, Yacoub Al-Sanea said that the ministers discussed "the obstacles of registering the Kuwaiti lawyers in the GCC according to the Gulf economic agreement for self-employed persons," pointing out that "the meeting affirmed implementing the decisions of the ministers of justice to allow the lawyers from GCC countries to work in the member states, in addition to assigning a committee on international cooperation and relations to study the obstacles of registering the lawyers in the GCC countries and the required regulating measures."

He also stated that he will guarantee approval to open offices for Kuwaiti lawyers in GCC states and execution of the agreement based on a mechanism to be agreed upon in the administrations affiliated to the GCC ministries of justice.
