Bahraini Prosecution Releases Al-Musawi, Al-Salman, Kadhem & Shakhouri after Interrogation

Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini Public Prosecution released on Wednesday (January 6, 2016) the Secretary-General of Wa'ad Society Radhi Al-Musawi, head of Al-Wefaq's Shura Sayed Jameel Kadhem, the Chairman of the Religious Freedom Committee of Bahrain Observatory Sheikh Maytham Al-Salman and activist Mohammad Al-Shakhouri.

The Prosecution had summoned on Tuesday (January 5, 2016) the four activists for interrogation at the Public Prosecution on Wednesday morning over the symposium held by Al-Wefaq on December 27, 2015, which comes one year after the arrest of the Bahraini opposition leader Sheikh Ali Salman. All of the four dissenters had participated in the symposium.

It is noteworthy that the Criminal Investigation Office had summoned on December 31, 2015 "the Political Assistant of Al-Wefaq Secretary-General Khalil Al-Marzooq, Al-Wefaq Society official Sayed Mohammad Al-Guraifi, Chairman of the Religious Freedom Committee of Bahrain Observatory Sheikh Maytham Al-Salman, head of Al-Wefaq's Shura Council Sayed Jameel Kadhem, and activist Mohammad Al-Shakhouri" over the aforementioned symposium which was held at Al-Wefaq headquarters.

The Prosecution questioned Al-Marzooq, Al-Guraifi and the father of martyr Abo Taki and then released them, announcing that it will summon the rest of the symposium participants in a later time.
