Bahrain Mirror: The Deputy Secretary-General of Bahrain's main opposition group Al-Wefaq, Sheikh Hussein Al-Daihi. predicted that the island kingdom would witness further breakdown following a series of decisions to raise prices.

"Without introductions, subsidies on meat were lifted, gasoline prices were raised, subsidies on electricity were lifted as well, and the list goes on. However, objection is forbidden", Al-Daihi stressed.

He stated in a number of tweets published on his personal Twitter account on social media that "the government takes the decision and the people should obey; money and wealth are for the government and the people should shut up, starve and go bankrupt."

"In light of the absence of wise politics, widespread corruption, and the stealing of the country's resources on and offshore; we do not expect anything but further economical collapse", Al-Daihi further stated.

"With the continued naturalization and policy of marginalizing indigenous citizens, the country is predicted to collapse even more and have further losses", he said.

"We heard for years that our economy is strong and it would not be affected, suddenly the citizens discovered that they were deceived and should pay the price of this failure", he added.

Al-Daihi pointed out that "the reformers, as Al-Wefaq Secretary-General Sheikh Ali Salman and Wa'ad former Secretary-General Ebrahim Sahrif, demanded to put an end to the policies destroying the country and its people, so they faced prison."

Al-Daihi further wondered: "Where do the hundreds of millions not included in the budget go, and where will they be spent?"
