Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini Ministry of Interior warned on Tuesday (February 9, 2016) that it will take "security measures" against protests to be held on the weekend marking the fifth anniversary of the February 14 uprising that erupted in 2011.

The opposition revolutionary forces had called for protests and events to be launched under the slogan "Al-Nimr Rebellion". It also called for civil disobedience, urging the revolution supporters to close shops and not attend jobs, schools and universities.

"Any calls that would disrupt security will be regarded as criminal offenses," warned the head of Public Security Tarik Al-Hassan, stressing that the security forces are monitoring what he described as "illegal calls."

"All precautionary security measures shall be taken to maintain stability," he further stated.
