Bahrain Mirror: Bahraini expats in Australia's Victoria state organized a solidarity vigil with the Bahrainis in the kingdom on Sunday (February 14, 2016), marking the fifth anniversary of the Bahraini uprising.

The protestors put adhesive tapes on their mouths protesting the violations of freedoms of opinion and expression and the policy of silencing dissent, adopted by the Bahraini authorities.

The protestors also held posters about the uprising and photos of detained opposition figures. They also held banners that condemned the regime's crimes and stressed on the peacefulness of the movement. They highlighted that they will proceed in the protests until their demands are met.

The protest was concluded with a statement delivered by the political activist Yehya Al-Hadid who called on the world to bear its responsibility and "pressure the regime to stop the human rights violations as well as force it to grant the Bahrainis their full rights, particularly their right to self-determination and choosing the form of regime they want."
