Bahrain Mirror: A Bahraini court sentenced on Thursday (March 3, 2016) to life-imprisonment two suspects, who the authorities accuse of planting a bomb. The Bahraini authorities often raise such accusations against the peaceful protestors who call for a democratic transition.

The Attorney-General, Chief of Anti-terror Crime Prosecution, announced that the high criminal court issued its verdict against suspects accused of "murder attempts, detonating explosives and possession of explosives."

The Public Prosecution said that it relied on "the hearsay evidence including the attesting witnesses".

Amnesty International said in its 2015 annual report that "hundreds of people were convicted in unfair trials on charges of rioting, illegal assembly or committing terrorism-related offences."
