Bahrain Mirror: Bahraini high court of appeals upheld a court of first instance's verdict against appellants and refused the appeals of another defendant because he submitted it after the deadline.

A court of first instance sentenced 7 suspects to 15 years in prison over attacking the bodily integrity of one of the policemen, holding assembly and acquiring Molotov.

The public prosecution allege that on December 5, 2012, the seven suspects attacked the bodily integrity of a policeman and took part in an assembly of more than 5 people, aiming at disrupting public peace and endangering people's lives as well as acquiring Molotov.

The authorities claim that the police forces were attacked by a group of about 15 protestors while situated in Al-Daih. The policeman (victim) alleged that while performing his duty, a group of sabotagers attacked them and hurled stones, metal rods, fire extinguishers and Molotov cocktails against them. A bomb sound was then heard and the policeman sustained several injuries in his body.
