Bahrain Mirror: The Kuwaiti Public Prosecution placed the name of prominent human rights defender and Kuwaiti MP Abdulhameed Dashti on the wanted list through the Interpol, officially issuing an international arrest warrant against him. The criminal court sentenced Dashti in absentia to 14 years and six months in prison, over charges of insulting Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the public prosecutor.

A local Kuwaiti newspaper said that Kuwait Interpol is preparing to send the warrant to international and Arab countries, noting that Dashti is wanted in Kuwait over several criminal cases.

Kuwait is pursuing Dashti, who is currently in London, for his outspoken criticism of the authorities in Riyadh and Manama over their human rights violations. He is also known for his strong opposition to the Saudi-led war on Yemen.
