Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued a royal decree (35) for the year 2016, on the application of Article (4) of the Legislative Decree No. (19) of the year 2002.

This order comes regarding action done on state-owned land properties. It ordered in its first article, that "in the rule of application of Article (4) of the Legislative Decree No. (19) on the action done on privately-directed state-owned land, it is not allowed for state authorities or legal persons to take action on the land, or change the use from one particulate purpose to another, like selling, renting or other personal purposes, without our [state's] approval."

The royal decree only allows the state bodies and all individuals to take any action on those lands by virtue of a decision by the Prime Minister or his first deputy. This also happens after the approval of all parties related to the land is attained, and after taking the opinion of the urban planning and architectural development committee.
