Bahrain Mirror: News were circulating on social network accounts that a big fire broke out in Bahrain's Petroleum Company (BAPCO). These accounts added that "all the entrances to the Maameer area" near the company were closed down. The "Maameer village" account posted on its "Twitter" page photos of the fire, which was said to have broken out in the company. No official confirmation has been announced yet.

BAPCO is a Bahraini Government-owned petroleum company, which owns an oil refinery with a capacity of 250,000 barrels per day. It also has its own storage facilities to store more than 14 million barrels, a center to distribute local products, and a maritime pier to export oil products.

The most important markets that import BAPCO's oil and petroleum products are the Middle East, India, Far East, Southeast Asia, and Africa's markets. It is noteworthy that more than 95% of the refined petroleum products are exported.
