3&5-Year Jail Term Handed down to 5 Suspects over Assembling and Burning Tires in Saar

Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini Fourth High Criminal Court, presided over by judge Ali bin Khalifa Al-Dhahrani with the memberships of judges Osama Al-Shadhili and Wael Ibrahim, and Ahmad Al-Sulaiman as secretariat, sentenced five defendants over planting hoax bomb, burning tires and assaulting policemen in Saar.

The court handed down 5-year jail term to the second and fifth suspects and 3-year jail term to the first, third and fourth suspects and ordered the confiscation of seized items.

The Public Prosecution accused the suspects of deliberately setting fire to movables on November 14, 2015, endangering people's lives and money for a terrorist aim, planting, along with other unknowns, hoax bomb in a public place for a terrorist aim, taking part, along with other unknowns, in an assembly of more than 5 people aiming at disrupting public peace and endangering people's money and lives as well as acquiring Molotov.
