Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's high appeals court presided over by judge Mohamed bin Ali Al Khalifa and Naji Abdullah as a secretariat commuted the verdict of an appellant to 5 years and refused the objection of another appellant whose verdict was already commuted to 5 years.

The high criminal court issued its verdict against 19 Bahraini youths accused of attempting to kill policemen and assembling in Sitra. The court sentenced 3 suspects to 10 years in prison and sentenced the rest to 15 years and ordered the confiscation of seized items.

The authorities claim that on September 26, 2014 at around 8 PM, a group of 50 persons assembled near Sitra post office and hurled Molotov against the policemen situated there. While the policemen were dealing with the group, a number of the protestors hurled Molotov against the security guard's cabinet aiming at burning it. The guard's cabinet was burnt and he was injured.

The authorities claim that it reached the 19 suspects through investigations.
