Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's High Appeals Court upheld a verdict acquitting a suspect from the charge of acquiring "TNT" explosives and others, for a terrorist aim.

The Public Prosecution accused the suspect on December 5, 2012 of acquiring, along with others, explosives without an authorization from the Minister of Interior for a terrorist aim.

Lawyer Kassim Al-Fardan pleaded that the break-in and search of the apartment was unlawful, adding that the fingerprint sample does not match that of the suspect's.

Al-Fardan said that the code of criminal procedure allows the entry of authorities' men to houses to only search the house for the suspect and arrest him.

Al-Fardan also said that the investigations are not serious and void. He continued saying that the fingerprint of the suspect was found on a cartoon in the apartment, place of crime, and not on the explosives. Thus, the fingerprint may have reached the carton while the suspect was transferring goods, due to his work, and this does not mean that he took part in the crime.
