Bahrain Mirror: The Fifth High Criminal Court sentenced a defendant to one year in prison for hiding wanted citizens over politically motivated cases. The court convicted the defendant because he, in person, hid the wanted despite knowing that arrest orders and jail terms are issued against them.

The authorities say that they received a notice stating that a building owner is hiding wanted and providing them shelter.

Asking the building owner (48 years) about him hiding wanted people, he denied and said that a brother of one of the wanted came and rented an apartment in the building as he was married and wanted to live near his father's house. The owner told him that there is an available apartment on floor 4. The brother rented it for 120 BD and paid for a month in advance. The owner stressed that this meeting took place two months ago before he was arrested while returning from the mosque.
