Workers at Company in Bahrain Protest over 4-Month Unpaid Wages

2017-05-07 - 8:02 p

Bahrain Mirror: A number of labourers in Bahrain protested on Saturday (May 6, 2017) before the company gates they work for in the village of Jannusan, demanding that they get paid their wages that have been reportedly delayed for the past four months.

"This is not the first time we resort to protesting over our unpaid salaries. Unfortunately every time they promise us, yet we receive no payments," they stressed.

They further stated that they have been sinking in debts and they no longer can continue living without their wages, especially that they are all breadwinners. "The company has ignored our repeated demands and continues to do so," they added.

They said that they contacted the Labour Ministry yet to no avail. "The Month of Ramadan is approaching and we have nothing to welcome this holy month," they noted.
