Bahrain Mirror: Five Bahraini policemen were injured in a blast that occurred on Monday (October 2, 2017), Bahrain's Ministry of Interior said.

The ministry posted on its twitter account saying that the incident happened "while securing Ashura procession on Budaiya Highway in Daih and that necessary steps are being taken".

Bahrain News Agency said that the Bahraini Interior Minister Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa received a phone call from his Saudi counterpart Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in which he asserted his country's support to Bahrain's security and stability.
