Bahrain Mirror: A local newspaper confirmed on Wednesday (October 25, 2017) that Bahraini goalkeeper Hamood Sultan was arrested in way similar to that used in dealing with terrorists.

A writer in "Akhbar Al-Khaleej" said that forces arrived to the football player's house and took him to investigation over his visit to Qatar and positive statements about Qatari people.

The writer reported that Hamood condemned this action, saying that the authorities could have summoned him for investigation instead of taking him from his house.

Hamood Sultan demanded "rehabilitation" (of reputation) from Ministry of Interior.
