Bahrain Mirror: The Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) said that the electricity production cost is 30 Fils/KW, however it is subsidized and sold at 3 Fils only. The authority added that the water production cost is 750 Fils/m2, however it is sold at 70 Fils only.

Answering a parliamentary question, EWA said that the government is keen to keep the Water and electricity tariff for consumers of domestic consumption category for Bahraini citizens unchanged, and to take into consideration the participants of small and medium non-domestic consumers of owners of small and medium shops and institutions that consume about 5000 unit.
