Bahrain Mirror: Al-Ayam local newspaper said that Ithmaar Bank suffers from a technical problem that displays the customers' balances incorrectly.

The newspaper explained that a number of customers who withdrew money from their accounts on Saturday (February 3, 2018) received messages on their phones stating that they withdrew the amount twice instead of once and that their account is less than the real one.

The newspaper said that this is due to a technical problem and that the bank accounts of the customers weren't affected at all.

It added that the bank is working to solve this technical problem as soon as possible.

Ithmaar Bank sent messages to its customers saying that "Due to a technical problem, some of you might notice incorrect balances. We will solve this problem as soon as possible.We apologize for the inconvenience."
