Bahrain Mirror: Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) announced the appointment of Hassan Qader as manager for casthouse maintenance and services.

Qader joined the company in 1998 as a trainee in the company's casthouse electrical department, following which he was promoted to higher grades in the same department, and in Casthouse 1 and 3. He was named electrical and automation engineer in Casthouse 1, 2, and 3, in 2011, and promoted to electrical and instrument superintendent in 2014.

Qader had been serving as the acting manager for the casthouse maintenance and services department since May 2017, the company said in a statement.

Commenting on Qader's promotion, Tim Murray, chief executive officer of Alba, said: "Alba is committed to promote from within [and] provide opportunities for Bahraini nationals, to empower them to take up higher roles. Hassan has demonstrated good managerial skills, and I am confident that he will contribute to the growth and development of his department."
