Bahrain Mirror: Former Bahraini MP Ali Al-Aswad described the Ministry of Interior's announcement  that it arrested a new cell including 116 persons as "worn out conversation aimed at demanding more financial support from two Gulf States". "Stop the nonsense," Al-Aswad said, calling on the authorities to put an end to these allegations.

Al-Aswad, who has been living in the British capital London since 2011, said that "the people of Bahrain are civilized and have political demands aiming at democracy, which is very distant from the failed narratives about cells that only harm the country's reputation as well its rotten economy that has deteriorated due to the mismanagement of resources. We, in the country of a million palm trees, seek a political solution through national dialogue in order to reach a real political partnership conforming with UN decisions."

"The ongoing accusations that foreign countries are behind the peaceful movement in Bahrain and the accusations targeted at three states is a used, worn out narrative that aims at seeking additional financial support from two Gulf states. The production of the "116 cell" play is failing more than the others and also announcing this number is just for demanding more military support, which opens the door to more corruption".

Al-Aswad mocked these accusations saying that the "countries fighting ISIS really have the time for smuggled "pots and flour" into Bahrain".

The former MP concluded his tweets by saying that "as a people who love their country, we will stand all together against any country that threatens the security of our nation." Addressing the authorities he further stressed: "You stop your defamation of our reputation in all the human rights, security, economic fields and others as well. Stop the nonsense. The whole world knows that we have legitimate political demands".
