Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini Supreme Committee for Hajj and Umrah Affairs has suspended a Hajj campaign (tour group) and warned four others after it recorded "a number of administrative, security and technical violations."

During its meeting, chaired by Bahraini Minister of Justice Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, the Committee stressed on the need for licensed campaigns to comply with all regulations and instructions issued by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia or the Bahrain Hajj Mission. The Committee granted certificates of thanks and appreciation to 12 campaigns committed to all the regulations and instructions.

It added that it is committed to the registration deadlines for pilgrims in the Saudi electronic track system at the end of next Hijri Month of Shaaban, according to the agreement signed with the Saudi authorities.

The report, on the visit of the Bahrain Hajj Mission to Saudi Arabia recently, said it has signed all services agreements with the institutions providing Hajj ritual services. The mission also discussed the development of facilities in Hajj camps for the Kingdom of Bahrain and of all ritual services.

With regard to the Hajj system issued by the Ministry of Hajj in Saudi Arabia, which requires that all members of the mission and the administrative staff accompanying the campaigns to attach visas and special permits to their passports, the Committee confirmed that it will prevent anyone wearing the Ihram (Hajj) clothing from entering Saudi Arabia unless that person obtains an approved license issued by the Saudi electronic track system throughout the pilgrimage season. The Committee also decided not to grant new Hajj licenses due to the limited quota of pilgrims this year.
