Bahrain: Cinemas Raise Ticket Prices to 3.5 Dinars

Bahrain Mirror: A number of cinemas in Bahrain have raised the price of entry tickets to 3.5 dinars as of mid- June, i.e is 16 percent increase compared to 3 dinars.
The City Center Cinema in Bahrain began adopting the new pricing of tickets (3.5 dinars) at the beginning of 2018, the second increase since the end of April 2008 after the increase cinema tickets prices by 20%, after a single ticket costed 5.2 JD.
The Bahrain Cinema Company, Bahrain's largest movie theater company, attributed the increase to increased pressure from movie distributors, whose prices are calculated as a percentage of the value of tickets sold.
