Bahrain is Least Gulf States to Invest in US Bonds

Bahrain Mirror: The US Treasury data showed that Bahrain is the least state among GCC states that invests in US Treasury.

Data showed that Saudi Arabia was the biggest Gulf States that invests in US permissions and bonds, with $162.1 billion last May, compared to $159.9 billion last July. The UAE came in the second rank, with a total investment amounting to $60 billion, compared to $59.7 billion in the previous month.

Kuwait came in third place with total investment amounting to $43.9 billion, followed by Sultanate of Oman with $12 billion and $1.2 billion dollars to Qatar. Bahrain came at the bottom of the list with about $838 million. The US Treasury only announces in its monthly statements the Gulf investments in US treasuries and bonds, and does not include other investments in the United States, whether public or private.
