Bahrain Mirror: Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society stressed that Bahrain needs a comprehensive political project that establishes a comprehensive collective state in a political partnership capable of embracing all the citizens of the country, taking care of their interests and providing a safe and stable environment for all of them.

A statement issued by Al-Wefaq said that running away from political reform and the creation of real national solutions to the accumulated crises that suffocate the country pave the way for more serious political, economic, security, human rights and societal crises that await the country.

Al-Wefaq stressed that any political project that the authorities are working to implement without building it in accordance with the correct international standards does not serve the country and will not be successful. Al-Wefaq called for reforming the political situation, reforming institutions, solving the human rights situation, stopping the security options and the official repression and establishing visions to save the economic and financial situation of the Kingdom.

Al-Wefaq pointed out that the government projects are failing miserably both locally and abroad, and the authorities did not win in any aspect because they have taken the wrong path in the battle with the majority of their people by confronting them with force and stubbornness and ignoring legitimate demands and rights.

In its statement, Al-Wefaq stressed the call for dialogue and national reconciliation and working to build a real social contract that will establish lasting stability and cohesive national consensus. Al-Wefaq added that topics such as elections need reforming the political environment and reforming the electoral process within a comprehensive political project.

Al-Wefaq concluded saying, "the situation did not change in order to change the speech," explaining that the situation is still the same in Bahrain, where the political project is absent. Al-Wefaq further said that it does not cancel the government in the legislative authority, although it is one of the causes of the crisis. "We rather look at the bigger picture, and these elections do not offer anything new to our people, and we have a reasoned vision that we will announce later," Al-Wefaq added.
