Bahrain Mirror: Bahraini security forces detained Mahdi Sahwan after he was summoned for questioning on Sunday, October 14, 2018. Sahwan will be referred to the Public Prosecution on Monday.

For many years, the authorities have been targeting Sahwan with recurring arrests and imprisonment, the last of which was imprisonment for six months for participating in a sit-in outside the house of Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim, which was cleared by the authorities in a massacre that took place in 2017, leaving five people killed and about 300 protestors and residents of the area arrested.
