Bahrain Designates 13 Individuals as Terrorists, Including Iran’s Qasem Soleimani

Bahrain Mirror: The Kingdom of Bahrain announced designating (9) individuals as being associated with the Taliban, including Iranian facilitators.

According to Bahrain News Agency (BNA), they include: Mohammad Ebrahim Owhadi, Esmail Razzavi, Abdullah Samad Faruqui, Mohammad Dawood Muzmil, Abdulrahim Manan, Mohammad Naim Barich, Abdulaziz Shah Zamani, Sadr Ibrahim, and Hafiz Abdulmajid.

Bahrain also announced blacklisting four individuals, and one entity, claiming that they "provide sponsorship and financial and material support to terrorist activities conducted by the Islamic Republic of Iran." The list included: Qasem Soleimani, Hamed Abdollahi, Abdul Reza Shahlaia, and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard corps.

The Gulf Kingdom said that these steps come "as part of the joint efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain and its partners in the Terrorist Financing Targeting Center to identify, track and share information regarding terrorist financial networks and relevant activities, including threats emerging from terrorist states and organizations."

BNA noted that as a result of this Action, and pursuant to TFTC members domestic laws, all assets, property, and revenues associated with the abovementioned individuals and entity are frozen in the designating countries and persons are prohibited from engaging in any transaction with the designated individuals and entities in TFTC member countries.
