Bahrain Mirror: General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security announced that the case of the misuse of social media account in Twitter was referred to the Public Prosecution after legal steps were taken.

The account @ABALKHALIFAH posted tweets penalized by the Penal Code, including abusing a regulatory authority.

He said that investigation led to identifying the individual who runs the account and his whereabouts.

He asserted of taking the required legal steps against any irresponsible account through the social media and the malicious rumours spread through those accounts to threat the social fabric and civil peace to protect national and traditional values.
