Bahrain Mirror: The National Health Regulatory Authority stated that it had rejected 102 applications for medical practice from non-Bahrainis because of their forged certificates.

The Executive Chairman of the Authority, Maryam Al-Jalahma, said that she refused to allow these doctors to practice the profession in the private sector inside Bahrain and did not allow them to enter the country.

In order to ensure the continuity of health professionals competence, the renewal of health professions licenses has been linked to performing specific number of professional training hours per year, so that the license of any professional is not renewed unless he/she certifies that he/she attended Continuing Professional Education (CPE) programs approved by the Authority.
