Bahrain Mirror: "Saudi women detainees" account on Twitter revealed the violations practiced by the Saudi security authorities against the detained activist Eman Al-Nafjan. The account specialized in following-up the cases of female detainees in the Kingdom explained the harsh conditions she was subjected, and said in a series of tweets: "Eman Al-Nafjan was held incommunicado in Dhahban Prison from May until August (3 months), without allowing her to see or contact anyone."

The account added: "During the period of Eman's detention in solitary confinement, she was taken out blindfolded and handcuffed to a secluded place like a cellar, to be interrogated and tortured, and probably it is the same place which Lojain Hathloul told her family she was tortured in."

According to the account, the torture sessions included "shackling her hands and legs while lying on an iron bed, and then whipping her with a headband on different parts of her body, especially the feet. On other days, she is electrocuted while she is chained in the same way."

One of the most heinous forms of torture that she suffered was that she was photographed naked and her photo was put in front of her during all the interrogation sessions, and she was only called the "agent of Qatar". She was asked in sarcasm "Would you prefer to serve a life sentence or be executed?"

International organizations continue to widely criticize the Saudi authorities for violating human rights, including Amnesty International, which confirmed last Tuesday that the detained activists have been subjected to grave abuses in the kingdom's jails.
