Bahrain Mirror: Qatar's foreign ministry spokesman Majed Al-Ansari confirmed that Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf Jasem Mohamed Al-Budaiwi will meet with the Bahraini delegation in Riyadh, on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, to complete the work of the "Qatari-Bahraini Follow-up Committee", in implementation of what was stated in the "Al-Ula Summit" statement.
Officials from Bahrain and Qatar will hold bilateral meetings directly after Eid Al-Fitr to "discuss outstanding files between the two countries," Russia's Sputnik news agency reported.
The committee held its first meeting recently at the headquarters of Secretariat General of Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf in Riyadh, and discussed "the necessary procedures and mechanisms and ways to ensure the success of bilateral talks to end the outstanding private files between the two countries," according "CNN".
It is worth mentioning that the "Al-Ula Summit" was held in the Saudi city of Al-Ula in January 2021, and brought together the leaders of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the UAE and Bahrain with Qatar, with the aim of restoring Bahraini-Qatari relations.
