Sheikh Rahma said in a sermon on Friday, May 26, 2023, that "the scholars are the trustees of the Messengers on what is lawful and forbidden by Allah, so the woes and torments that had befallen the Messengers and Imams, peace be upon them before them so that they abandon their religious responsibilities and functions also befalls them."

He added that "one of God's blessings bestowed on us in Bahrain is our divine scholars. We were saddened by the summons of Sheikh (Mohammad) Sanqour and his arrest and we were pleased by his release."

He went on to say that "In our time, among our esteemed and pious scholars who the religious institutes and intellectual forums are proud of is our great Sheikh His Eminence Sheikh Mohammad Sanqour," noting that "he enjoys ranks of knowledge, work, insight, piety, devotion to God Almighty and service to His servants."

Sheikh Rahma pointed out that Sheikh Sanqour "was able - after the success of God Almighty - with his hard work and diligence in the acquisition of religious knowledge to reach high levels and high status, and to enrich the Islamic and intellectual library with useful works of great proficiency and balance in various field of religious sciences and knowledge."
