Bahrain Mirror: The Imam Al-Sadiq Mosque Friday Preacher in Diraz, west of the Bahraini capital, Manama, Sheikh Ali Rahma, said that "our dear youths, who constitute an important portion of our families are living below the poverty line in difficult economic conditions, and face an unknown future livelihood that does not bode well," calling for "embracing and rehabilitating them".

Sheikh Rahma warned in his Friday sermon on June 16, 2023, that "filling homes with youths who failed in education and who do not master any specific skill or profession, and who are frustrated with themselves and their society poses a great risk."

He called on everyone to "tackle the issue of young people who missed the opportunity to correct their living conditions and despaired of foreseeing a decent livelihood in the future," warning that "their percentage is not small, and there is one or two in every house, and in some homes there are even five and more waiting for the limited salary of their retired father to share."

"A serious solution to the problem depends first on containing, embracing, rehabilitating and gradually including these young people in appropriate jobs," he said.

He pointed out that "the nation, which has mature, educated, hard-working youths who harness their intellectual, physical strengths in self-building, skill development, looking foward for the future, serving the country and benefiting the people is a strong and rising nation that possesses the elements of progress and development, that is far beyond other nations and peoples afflicted by young people who are only passionate about mundane life, only playing, eating and sleeping, hating knowledge, learning, averse to work and hard work, waiting for their poor families to provide them with everything without offering the slightest help themselves."
