Bahrain Mirror: The complete poetic works of the late Bahraini poet Ghazi Al-Haddad entitled "Diwan Ibn Al-Qain" was published for the first time by Awal Centre for Studies and Documentation.

Awal Centre released the complete poetry works of Al-Haddad in cooperation with an 11-person committee from the Ansar Al-Haq obsequy, based in Bilad Al-Qadeem, which has been collecting Al-Haddad's texts since July 2020.

The Diwan consists of two parts, the first part includes his poems he crafted about Imam Hussein, peace be upon him and the martyrs of Karbala, and the second part includes the poems he dedicated to the Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him), Imam Ali and his family, peace be upon them.

The two parts together comprise 48 poems, all of which are vertical eloquent poetry, and constitute a total of about 4,000 verses and lines of poetry.

After the completion of the initial collection of the Diwan on February 6, 2021 from various sources (written records, audio recordings, or online sources), the Diwan underwent a review by 3 Arabic language professors, while a team from the "Ibn Al-Qain Foundation", which is interested in the literary heritage of the deceased, verified and reviewed the texts.

A specialized team from Awal Centre carried out a comprehensive review of the Diwan with regards to language and structure. It was then released on January 20, 2022.

The Diwan was limited to eloquent vertical poems, excluding colloquial works, as a first stage of the collection process of the late poet's heritage. However, a team from the Ibn Al-Qain Foundation is currently working on collecting colloquial poems to be issued in a year.

The Diwan is expected to include more than 70 colloquial texts delivered by the poet in his voice, delivered during mourning processions, or issued within the framework of artistic productions during Ashura seasons.

Al-Haddad's Diwan was named "Diwan Ibn Al-Qain" for two reasons, one of which is the poet's verse in which he talked about the role of his parents in his spiritual nourishment with the love of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, and the other is that the late Al-Haddad did not sign his writings in his name, but used names such as "Abu Al-Ezz", "Ibn Al-Qain" and "Ibn Al-Haddad".
