Bahrain Mirror: Al-Wefaq media official Sayed Taher Al-Mousawi criticized the "absence of the official media" from the Ashura rituals while the government allowed the opening of a private radio station for the Indian and Filipino communities in Bahrain.

Al-Mousawi said via a tweet that "the government announced a tender for the opening of a private radio station for the Indian community and another one for the Filipino community in Bahrain. There is no objection on this." He added: "The Ashura season is halfway through, which includes tens of thousands of Majalis, activities, events, creativity, great cultural and social movement, amid total absence of the official media which is not aware about this occasion in the country,  noting that the official media covers all events and occasions except Ashura."

Al-Mousawi noted that "Ashura will end soon," wandering "Will the state media wake up at the last minute or will it remain asleep?"

He pointed out that "the civil, obsequy and procession media in Bahrain are far ahead of the government's media, however, this is a reminder of the country's reality."
