Bahrain Mirror: The authorities refused to temporarily release the opposition leader and Al-Wefaq Secretary-General, Sheikh Ali Salman, to participate in his aunt's funeral. The authorities also ignored a request from the relatives of Sheikh Salman's aunt to release two of her brothers to bid farewell before her burial.

Al-Wefaq extended its sincere condolences and sympathy to the people of Bilad Al-Qadeem and the family of Sheikh Salman on the death of his aunt Hajja Fudda Hassan Mubarak Nisf.
