Bahrain Mirror: A group of religious scholars in Bahrain declared their full solidarity with the political prisoners on hunger strike at Jaw Central Prison.

The scholars stressed in a statement that the prisoners' hunger strike is "a method of demanding their natural rights which are deprived of" and confirmed that "prisoners have the right to obtain their legitimate demands."

The scholars called on the concerned authorities to "expedite in meeting the prisoners' just demands and end their added suffering."

They called on Bahrainis to join the general hunger strike on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, "in solidarity with the prisoners who are on hunger strike and in support of their legitimate demands."
