Bahrain Mirror: Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim called for supporting the political prisoners in their hunger strike held in Jaw Central Prison, stressing that "supporting them in their demands is an imperative duty that falls on the shoulders of the people of Bahrain, men and women alike, and at all levels, even if they did not make sacrifices in their favor. For the detainees' sacrifice for the freedom of the people has led them to prison."

Ayatollah Qassim further highlighted in a statement: "Yes and more than a million yeses, our prisoners, who were imprisoned for raising their voice with all the political and civil demands of the oppressed people, are entitled to exercise their inalienable right to recover all their rights and the rights of their people, mainly related to their full freedom and unwaivable dignity, in addition to  urgently becoming free of all restrictions associated with their suffering in prison in violation of religious, human and legal rights."
