Bahrain Mirror: The Arab Organization for Human Rights called on the Bahraini authorities to "examine the situation" of political detainees who have been on hunger strike in Jaw Central Prison for 12 days, and called on them to "work to end the strike and respond to their legitimate demands, which represent the minimum standards for the treatment of prisoners and other detainees."

The organization said in a statement that "despite the measures followed by the authorities to respond to the stance of the strikers and their demands, these measures did not have a positive impact to stop the strike."

The organization called on the authorities to "take into account the demands of the striking inmates and deal positively with their protest to improve their living and humanitarian conditions."
