Expose Them So No Zionists Are Left among Us

Bahrain Mirror (Exclusive): Over the past three years, the authorities in Bahrain have tried in various ways to bring normalization to the popular discourse to be accepted, sometimes through temptations and other times pressures. Employees of government ministries were surprised by the presence of Israeli figures in their buildings, while others were warned of losing their positions in case normalization was not made with Israeli officials.

However, the brutal campaign Israel launched the past two weeks has caused a wave of popular outrage that has swept away normalizers, who are social activists or who want to play a social role. This is how we read the (apology) statement of Al-Doy Council in Muharraq.

Of course, the Council, which hosted normalization activities, brought the so-called peace cake and cut it in celebration, would not have believed in the rights of the Palestinian people, neither yesterday nor today, but it is the blood and massacres that force them to bow before the storm.

The same thing happened with the Al-Junaid family, who disowned their son Shaheen, who appeared in an inflammatory video condemning the Palestinian resistance and dubbing it terrorism. Al-Junaid family here is like the Al-Doy family, their feelings towards Palestine did not change throughout the past years of normalization, and they have seen with their own eyes their son siding with the Zionists and flattering them on every occasion, and their sentiments did not change Abdullah Al-Junaid's rush to normalize with the Zionist entity in the media and politically before the normalization of the state itself. Yet they have broken their silence today because it has become costly on the social level and beyond, especially with the strong and unprecedented commercial boycott campaigns by citizens against anyone who proves to support the entity directly or indirectly.

Shaima Sabt, the normalizer who was bragging about dancing alongside the Israeli ambassador, explains in a post on her Instagram account (October 18, 2023) the crisis suffered by people like her: "At the beginning of Hamas's attack on Israel, we sympathized with Israeli civilians and rejected the terrible crimes committed by Hamas against innocent people. But what is happening today to the Palestinian people is no longer Israel's response to the Hamas attack, but has turned into a genocide of the people of Gaza."

Sabt summarizes the dilemma of the normalizers in Bahrain, they were with Israel in the beginning, but the massacres and bloodshed against children and women, who constituted 67% of the total martyrs in Gaza according to official figures, were more than they could bear, so they decided to pray for Gaza and feign solidarity with the Palestinian people.

It is our duty today as Bahrainis to continue to declare our clear and explicit solidarity with the Palestinian people by spreading and republishing the atrocities and crimes of the occupation, and it is also our duty to continue exposing the normalizers and conspirators so that no Bahraini Zionist feels that they can live among us, visit us and participate in social events.

Those who have decided to climb over the remains and skulls of the Palestinians have no place among us. It is our moral responsibility not to forget this and to continue to expose them as we expose the daily crimes of the occupation against the brotherly Palestinian people. This step is an urgent necessity so that no one will be tempted in the future to follow this popularly rejected path in search of a handful of cash or some material temptations in exchange for giving legitimacy to a provocative step decided by the family, which no longer has any popular legitimacy.
