Bahrain Mirror: The Ministry of Interior arrested Kassim Al-Samie, brother of the martyr Abbas Al-Samie, from the bridge linking Bahrain and Saudi Arabia while traveling with his mother under the pretext of a "traffic violation."

Human rights activist Ibtisam Al-Saegh stated, in a post on the "X" platform, that "Kassim (17 years old) is still under the legal age for a car license," wondering: "Where did the violation come from when he has a clean file and has never been subjected to any arrest?" .

Al-Saegh quoted Kassim's family as saying that their son "doesn't participate in any protest and he is always at home. He only goes out with his brother when necessary, then returns home. So, what charge will be brought against him?"

Al-Saegh demanded the release of Kassim "since the arrest is against the law," addressing the authorities by saying: "Let this family live in peace. It has suffered enough of loss, arrests and raids over all these years."

The arrest of Kassim Al-Samei coincided with the anniversary of the execution of the martyrs Abbas Al-Samie, Ali Al-Singace, and Sami Mushaima, which falls on January 15, 2024.

It is worth noting that Kassim suffers from heart problems, and his suffering increased as a result of his arrest, dealing with him as a criminal, and transferring him directly to the investigation offices, and then transferring him to the notorious "Dry Dock" detention prison until he is brought before the "Public Prosecution" over a political-motivated charge.
