The Gulf Centre for Human Rights (GCHR) and over a dozen human rights groups are working together on a public campaign and related advocacy for the release of prisoners of conscience.

The Qatari daily �Al-Sharq� reported on the Chambers of Death report, which was released by three Bahraini human rights organizations, accusing the National Security Agency of using heinous torture methods against dissidents.

GCHR asked his supporters to tweet calling on authorities in Bahrain to �immediately and unconditionally free Ibtisam Al-Saegh, allow her unhindered access to medical care while she remains in detention, allow her proper meetings with her family and lawyer and guarantee in all circumstances that human rights defenders in Bahrain are able to carry out their legitimate activities without fear of reprisals and free of all restrictions including judicial harassment.�

The Gulf Center for Human Rights said that prominent Bahraini activist Abdulhadi Al-Khawaja�s health status started to deteriorate due to the open hunger strike he started since April 12.
