The Information and e-Government Authority estimations showed that the population of the Kingdom of Bahrain will increase over the next 10 years to reach 2 million and 2.39 thousand in 2030.

Bahrain has been hit during the past few years by serious cyberattacks that caused severe damages, the most recent one was the hacking of Bahrain Oil Company (Bapco) which led to damaging more than 2000 computers, encryption of the company's data by the hackers, re-engineering of its internal network and affecting production and refining departments work.

An official statistics issued by the Information and E-Government Authority revealed that Bahrain's total population until 2018 has been estimated at 1,503,091, with 689,417 Bahrainis compared to 813,377 foreigners residing in the country.
