Bahrain: Clashes Erupt Near Pearl Roundabout in Manama

Bahrain Mirror (Exclusive): The Bahraini regime forces clashed on Sunday (October 25, 2015) with hundreds of protestors, who attempted to reach the Pearl (Lualua) Roundabout in the Bahraini capital Manama, the cradle of popular demonstrations during February 2011.

Regime forces fired shotgun pellets and poisonous tear gas at protestors to disperse the crowds, which led to a number of injuries. Riot police also pursued demonstrators in the surrounding residential areas and then fired tear gas canisters at houses.

For its part, the Bahraini Interior Ministry claimed that police forces confronted riotous crowds, referring to protestors,

On its official Twitter account, it further stated that "police forces confronted, according to legal restrictions, a riotous crowd that hurled Molotov cocktails, iron rods and stones at policemen following the Ashura mourning procession in Sanabes."
