Bahrain Mirror: Within the framework of the preparations made to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the February 14 uprising which erupted in 2011, the Bahraini revolutionary forces called for awaiting the announcement of the steps launching the "Al-Nimr Rebellion," referring to the Saudi Shiite cleric Nimr Al-Nimr who was executed by Saudi authorities earlier this month (January 2, 2016). For its part, the Al-Wafa Islamic Party said on its official Twitter account: "The revolutionary forces call on the people to await the steps of Al-Nimr Rebellion marking the fifth anniversary of the revolution."

Meanwhile, Amal Islamic Society stressed: "Be on time for Al-Nimr Rebellion on the fifth anniversary of the revolution in 2016 (...) Let's announce to the world that our revolution continues and that our people will never back down."

The February 14 Youth Coalition also called for demonstrations on Friday January 29, 2016. It declared that they represent "mobilization welcoming the month of the revolution." They also urged having "wide participation in these demonstrations under the slogan "The Friday of  February Will" as part of the revolutionary wave leading up towards the upcoming ‘Al-Nimr Rebellion.'"
